Training Contract

This contract regulates the training relationship between Teatro Playback Galicia (hereinafter, “the School”) and the persons enrolled in its training program (hereinafter, “the student”).

Acceptance of these conditions is understood to be automatically effected by the payment of the monthly fee, as established in this document.

The purpose of this contract is to regulate the Student’s participation in the training program of Teatro Playback Galicia, a school dedicated to the study, practice, and development of Playback Theater.

The program consists of four academic years, which comprise a progressive pedagogical itinerary in performance, stage direction, methodological development, and leadership of Playback Theater projects.

Students may attend the course without volunteering to progress in the roles of direction, methodological development, and leadership. Failure to volunteer will result in failure to pass the course, extending the duration of their personal itinerary.

Passing each level depends on the assessment criteria of the trainer responsible for each course. The trainer will consider criteria such as attendance, participation in a sufficient number of performances, and the ability to perform all the necessary roles: acting, stage direction, methodological development, and leadership. The leadership role may require theoretical training in addition to the regular training.

Completion of the program will result in the award of the Playback Theater Competence Certificate from Teatro Playback Galicia.

The relationship established between the student and the School is strictly educational, without any employment or commercial nature.

The sole purpose of student participation is to acquire artistic, technical, critical, and leadership skills in Playback Theater, without any obligation of remuneration, employment, or provision of services.

Students may withdraw at any time by giving at least 30 calendar days’ notice.

The monthly participation fee is €45, covering enrollment and training, for the school year between September and June (both inclusive). The School may modify the amount of the fee when it deems necessary, especially for reasons of project sustainability, inflation, or increased costs, after notifying students at least 30 days prior to its application.

As part of the educational program, students may participate in public performances, open rehearsals, recordings, or performing arts activities organized by the School. These activities are exclusively educational and training in nature, under the supervision of the teaching staff.

The School may receive contributions or financial compensation from collaborating entities (town councils, associations, etc.) for the organization of these activities, without this giving rise to any right to remuneration for the students.

Participation in public performances does not create any employment relationship with the School or with collaborating entities.

The student authorizes the School to record, photograph, and disseminate their image, voice, and name during training activities and performances for the purposes of documentation, communication, and promotion of Teatro Playback and Teatro Playback Galicia.

This transfer is made free of charge, on a non-exclusive basis, and with international territorial scope, limited to activities carried out during the term of the training relationship.

The School may retain and continue to use the material generated during this period even after the end of the relationship, exclusively in the context of archiving, institutional communication, or promotion of its educational and cultural activities.

The School will not transfer the audiovisual material to third parties without the student’s consent, except in the case of media or entities that collaborate directly with the dissemination or promotion of its activities.

The student may revoke their consent at any time by written communication, without retroactive effect on materials already published. If the student does not grant such transfer, they must notify the School in writing at [email protected]. If they do so, and if this significantly limits their ability to participate in activities, it may hinder or prevent them from completing the training.

The School guarantees adequate safety conditions and has civil liability and/or accident insurance covering the training activities and performances in which students participate.

The student declares that they participate in the training activities of Teatro Playback Galicia under their own responsibility, undertaking to inform the School in advance of any medical, physical, or psychological condition that may affect their safe participation in classes, rehearsals, or performances.

The student acknowledges that the trainer does not have medical training or specialized knowledge to identify, diagnose, or treat illnesses, ailments, or injuries, and that it is therefore the sole responsibility of the student to set their own limits of effort, movement, and participation, refraining from any exercise or activity that could pose a risk to their health or physical or psychological integrity.

The School and its teaching staff shall not be liable, under any circumstances, for injuries, aggravation of ailments, crises, accidents, or any physical or psychological damage that the student may suffer during training or performance activities as a result of their lack of self-care and prudence, especially those related to pre-existing illnesses or conditions.

The student assumes full responsibility for their participation and expressly waives the right to claim compensation or insurance coverage from the School for incidents or damages related to their physical or emotional state, their actions, or their lack of self-care during activities.

The current owner of the School is Darío Gómez González, with ID number 39485101N, who acts as a self-employed individual, project director, main trainer, and person responsible for the management and development of the activities of Teatro Playback Galicia.

The School’s activity is currently carried out through his professional activity as a self-employed person, with the expectation that in the future a legal entity (association, company, or other legal form) may be established to take over the continuity of the project under the same name.

In the event of such a constitution, the rights and obligations arising from this contract shall be automatically transferred to the new legal entity, without substantial modification of its terms, maintaining full validity and effect vis-à-vis the students.

The School undertakes to notify students of the formalization of such an entity and to guarantee the pedagogical, organizational, and administrative continuity of the training program.

The School reserves the right to expel any student if it considers that they repeatedly breach internal rules, due to non-payment, repeated absences, disrespectful attitudes towards classmates, or behavior that affects the smooth running of the group or the School.

Expulsion will be effective from the date communicated by the management, with no obligation to refund fees already paid.

The student may request a review of the expulsion decision by the management within 7 calendar days.

This contract shall be valid for the entire duration of the training program, estimated at four academic years, except in the case of voluntary withdrawal or expulsion as provided for in these conditions.

The term of the contract refers exclusively to the educational relationship between the parties, without prejudice to any rights and obligations that, by their nature, may remain after its termination (for example, in relation to image rights or data protection).

It may be updated or modified by the School, with changes being notified by publication on this website, indicating the date of entry into force.

Students’ personal data will be processed in accordance with Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (GDPR) and Organic Law 3/2018, exclusively for the management of the School’s training, administrative, and communication activities.

Teatro Playback Galicia is responsible for data processing, and students may exercise their rights of access, rectification, erasure, objection, and restriction of processing by sending a request to [email protected].

This contract is governed by Spanish law.

The parties expressly submit to the Courts and Tribunals of Vigo, waiving any other jurisdiction that may apply.

Acceptance of these conditions shall be understood to have been made by the Student by paying the corresponding fee, without the need for a physical or digital signature, in accordance with the provisions of articles 1254 et seq. of the Civil Code.

The general terms and conditions of this contract will be visible on the official website of Teatro Playback Galicia and will be referenced on all invoices issued, accompanied by the following information note:

“Payment of this invoice implies acceptance of the general terms and conditions of Teatro Playback Galicia, available at www.playbackgalicia.com/contrato-de-formacion/.”
